There are many ways of doing church. There are churches that are traditional in their approach, with time honored inspiration passed on through the decades and in some cases, centuries.  Some are “purpose-driven” churches that only do things that seem to fit the overall vision and mission of the church.  Others are more driven by the personality and charisma of the pastor.  Some churches believe in the “seeker friendly” model in which everything is tailored to try to make seekers feel comfortable.  All of these models have merit and have been used by God to help people.

While all of these methods have benefits, we believe in what we call the “presence-driven” church.  By the presence-driven church, we mean that through our worship, we hope to attract the very presence of God Himself.  We spend a good amount of our time singing praises to the Lord.  Ephesians 5:18-19 tells us to “not be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit, singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs…”  The Lord inhabits the praise of His people and there is something that happens when two or more are gathered in His name, worshiping and enjoying Him.  We like to teach down to earth, helpful, biblical messages that offer practical insights that apply to real life here on earth while remembering that we are citizens of heaven, our real home.
