The Mt. St. Helens Club is southwest Washington’s oldest & favorite
outing club. Currently with 100 members & growing, the club
schedules hikes (almost) every Monday and (almost) every Saturday
year round. During the winter, hikes are often replaced by x-country
skiing & snowshoeing. Other outdoor activities include biking,
camping, canoeing and picnicking.
Monday hikes are Easy to Moderate: (3 to 7 miles & less than 1000 elevation)
Saturday hikes are Moderate to Difficult (5 to 12 miles & over 1000 elevation).

If your are interested in working on a Habitat for Humanity Build Site - please call our Volunteer Coordinator ON TUESDAY OR THURSDAY from 9:00 a.m. to Noon or send an e-mail to volunteer@cowlitzhabitat.org. We generally keep volunteers to 15-20 per site and currently build on Saturdays. Call the coordinator for location and availability. WAIVERS and other paperwork, including a safety orientation must be completed prior to working on any Habitat site or the Habitat Store.
We typically work every Saturday from 8:30 to 3:30 - with the exception of Holiday Weekends - NO CONSTRUCTION.
If your group is interested in participating in your own group build day - let us know - there is a group fee and asigned limited workdays/workweeks for these groups.

The Humane Society of Cowlitz County will be at the Three Rivers Mall directly across for Fibre Credit Union from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with adoptable critters. Along the way, Stan has shared concert billing with B.B. King, Ray Charles, Robert Cray, and Eddie Money, as well as performed at pre-concert parties for Bonnie Raitt and Joe Cocker.
Stan has also been blessed with the profound opportunity to perform and record on countless occasions, with legendary British guitarist, Martin Pugh. Stan’s other studio and stage encounters include John Ussery, Delaney Bramlett, Bob Newham, Hank Van Sickle, Jr. Watson, Rick Holmstrom, Henry Carvijal, San Pedro Slim, Kid Andersen, Vance Ehlers, and many other dedicated, and gracious musicians.
In many of Stan’s performances, he sings and plays a broad variety of tunes from the world of blues, jazz, soul, and rock’n roll. However, Stan is most at home playing blues. While he still plays sax, he is best known for his incendiary harmonica playing! Stan has written more than two dozen songs, and has three CDs to his credit, including Live At The Bastille, Blues On Tap, and No Pork Tonight, all which are blues. Stan can be heard playing harmonica on CDs by Delaney Bramlett, John Ussery, and Bob “Pacemaker” Newham, as well as other imports on Taxim Records, and Double Trouble Records.
