camping, canoeing and picnicking.
Monday hikes are Easy to Moderate: (3 to 7 miles & less than 1000 elevation)
Saturday hikes are Moderate to Difficult (5 to 12 miles & over 1000 elevation).

Few places in the world are as enthralling as the blasted front door of America's most famous volcano. Lace up your boots and join the Mount St. Helens Institute staff, volunteers and scientists for an amazing 10 mile hike.
The hike begins at Johnston Ridge Observatory with spectacular views into the volcano crater. From Harry's Ridge, we'll continue hiking with views of Spirit Lake, Mount Adams and Mount Rainier. We will continue through a natural arch with a rare view of St. Helens Lake. We'll conclude by hiking along the south side of Coldwater Lake.
Come enjoy this amazing hike while viewing elk, birds, ground squirrels, chipmunks and coyotes. Guests should be in good shape and able to hike 10 miles over challenging terrain. Tickets are $75 and include a shuttle ride back to your car at day's end.
