Caring for someone with memory loss? Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups provide a consistent and caring place for people to learn, share and gain emotional support from others who are also on a unique journey of providing care to a person with dementia. Recognizing that some caregivers find it challenging to access traditional support groups, the Chapter has launched a telephone support group that offers the benefits of a traditional face-to-face support group without the need to leave home.  The toll-free teleconference group is held the third Tuesday of each month, from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m., and facilitated by Barbara Bridges, RN, MSN.  If you are interested in participating, or for additional information, contact Linda Whiteside at (800) 848-7097 or linda.whiteside@alz.org.
